Intuitive Action in a High-Pressure World
When pressure rises, connecting with your intuition is your greatest strategy
You may have sensed a certain ‘pressure’ in the air lately. Many people are feeling an increased and somewhat undefinable urgency to move, act, and just “make something happen.”
The feels of this season are holdovers from last year’s energy, where 2024 asked us to focus on the concepts of Health, Wealth, and Power in our own lives. Not necessarily where we’d get more of these things, as many of us had hoped, but rather, where we’re blocking our own progress in each of these arenas. Your remaining Q1 survival guide may benefit from asking yourself these questions: “Where am I avoiding taking charge of my own health, my own wealth, and my own empowerment? What do I need to slightly adjust to regain a sense of agency and ownership in these areas of my life?”
For some, that means getting honest about your relationship with your body. Do you push and force it to perform, despite it firing off warning signs of illness and the need for rest? How about your wealth and bank accounts? Are you consistently making purchases and investments in your future? Or are you buying things simply to fill a void? And, with respect to your power, are you waiting for someone else to give you permission?
Each of these areas may be under review for the rest of the month, so if you’re feeling that undefinable unease right now, take a moment to pause with each question, performing an internal inventory of what needs your attention. If the discomfort grows, you’re right around the corner from discovering something important. Do your best to slow down, breathe, and lean in, not out. Your body knows how to take care of you, and your intuition is ready to give you your next best step. Celebrate your decision to look, too, because the next nine months of your beautiful life will thank you.
Intuition in High-Pressure Situations
When the world presses in with urgency and everything seems to demand immediate action, be a rebel and don’t give in to the hype. These are times for temperance. Moderation. Slowness. Ease.
Pressure without clarity leads to paralysis, and action without vision leads to exhaustion.
This is where your intuition becomes critical. Intuitive momentum isn’t about doing more; it’s about doing the right things at the right time. Right when your subconscious mind + your nervous system (aka, your intuition) say it’s the right time. This is where you follow your inner knowing above the noise.
Steps toward a more intuitive response:
Pause. Before making any decision (even if it’s what to have for dinner), take 30 seconds to breathe. Let your nervous system settle. Connect with your inner world.
Ask yourself: Am I responding to my inner instinct right now, or am I reacting from some unnamed emotion or pressure? Am I forcing anything?
Listen. Intuition is subtle, and it’s a lot quieter than the inner narrative that's constantly running through your mind. Your inner knowing comes forward when you create space for it to speak.
Intuitive leaders don’t just act. They pause. They listen. And they trust what they sense and feel.
As things continue to fluctuate this year, you who follow your intuition-driven wisdom will thrive. Intuition, not urgency, will guide your steps.
